FORMER Antrim goalkeeper Chris Kerr has rejoined the Saffron squad just weeks before their championship campaign gets underway.
The Gaelic Life understands that both Oisin Kerr and Luke Mulholland have stepped away from the panel and are now in the United States, leaving Mick Byrne as the only available goalkeeper.
Kerr retired from county duty in 2018 following Antrim’s qualifier exit to Offaly, although he’s last outing was against Down in that years Ulster championship.
His career spanned 11 years after first being drafted into the panel in 2007. The experienced net minder was also part of the all-concurring St Gall’s side that dominated the Antrim club championship.
More recently Kerr has moved to Armagh club Ballymacnab after relocating to the Orchard County.
Antrim just missed out on promotion from Division Three, suffering defeats to Louth and Westmeath in the final two rounds.
They host Cavan in the quarter final of the Ulster championship in two weeks’ time at Corrigan Park.
