In his column in this week’s Gaelic Life, Steven Poacher has a pop at the TV pundits.
He says that much of the current punditry is ‘shockingly poor’.
He then goes on to explain why:
“Maybe we don’t get decent analysis because the guys doing it arent’ regarded as coaches, and don’t really understand coaching. Most are just so-called personalities or former players, but speak to any coach and they all will have their own philosophy, and also their own thoughts on style of football and how the game should be played.
“The latter will be probably dictated by the group you are working with.”
He goes on to explain what a coaching philosophy is, and why it is different to footballing styles.
