Steven Poacher says that every club will have players who can’t train because they are injured.
He says that coaches must implement the proper recovery technique to keep their players fitter for longer.
“After training or a match all players should be put through a structured cool down lasting 10-12 minutes, as well as some light games specific activity along with some static stretching to promote blood flow and help restore normal range of movement.”
Poacher goes on to highlight three more recovery methods which will speed up recovery and prevent fatigue and strain.
