Pauric Grimes says players must better understand the reasons for their poor performanes.
In his column in this week’s Gaelic Life he tells the story of one of his clients who complained about having been sluggish the previous weekend.
“On Friday he said his legs felt heavy, his energy levels weren’t great and he struggled to get into the game.
“On Sunday morning he said he felt like the Dublin defence wouldn’t have been fit to handle him.
“He wondered why there was such a big difference in performance.
“I asked him to outline the previous 24 hours of each day for me and by the time he had written the response he knew the answer to the question.”
