In the final part of his series of articles on how to prepare for championship, Pauric Grimes tells players how they are supposed to think on game day.
He outlines the five key thoughts to take into the biggest game of the season so far.
One of the most important is about having faith in your abilities:
“Have faith in your own ability.
“You train hard in the gym and on the field. You eat well. You foam roll and stretch. You do the right things to be a better player and a better athlete, so believe in yourself.
“When match day arrives you shouldn’t question, doubt, analyse or focus on your technique. You know what you are capable of.
“Trust yourself and play as well as you can with what you have on the day.”
