In his column in this week’s Gaelic Life, Pauric Grimes talks about comparisons.
He says that athletes should avoid comparing themselves to others, and rather they should think about their own goals.
“There are things that can help you be as much of a positive influence on those around you as you can be.
“Success leaves clues, so by all means look at what the best players are doing and aspire to that level, but avoid direct comparisons. You are not them and they are not you.
“Maybe it is time to stop trying to be better than someone else and concentrate on being a better you today than you were yesterday.”
