In his column in this week’s Gaelic Life, Pauric Grimes addresses the issue of what to do if your season is over.
He says that players must keep themselves sharp during the off season, and outlines what a week should look like.
“Have two strength days. You’re not a body builder so don’t waste your time doing splits.
“Two days of heavy lifting per week. Squat deep, lift big.
“Get a coach to teach you Olympic Lifts, and master them by the year’s end.”
He goes on to outline what sort of power and speed work you should do.
