PADDY Bradley has spoken candidly to Kevin Cassidy about his time playing for the county, and the abuse that came along with it.
In the latest edition of the Barroom tapes, Bradley, along with younger brother Eoin, opens up on how he felt when criticism arrived.
“Damian Cassidy, whom I had my differences with, once said to me that Derry supporters can be the biggest begrudgers of any. He was right,” said the Glenullin man.
“That said, there are a core of very loyal Derry fans who followed us everywhere and I loved representing.”
Eoin, meanwhile, said that the decision of Brian McIver not to bring Paddy back into the squad cut him deeply.
“When you see some of the players getting the recognition they are getting at the minute yet he didn’t get any sort of send off. It’s disgraceful.”
