GAELIC Life columnist Kevin Cassidy has said that Mayo manager Stephen Rochford deserves praise, not criticism, for thinking outside the box.
Writing in the aftermath of the decision to put Aidan O’Shea on Kerry’s Kieran Donaghy in last week’s drawn semi-final, Cassidy said that it showed a willingness to bring a new edge.
“It’s easy for people to sit back in their chairs and criticise such a move but I, on the other hand, respect them for having the balls to try something different.”
