GAELIC Life columnist Kevin Cassidy has said that the Donegal players have full faith in Rory Gallagher’s attempts to change the county’s footballing philosophy.
Writing in today’s edition, the Gaoth Dobhair native gave a stirring response to those questioning Gallagher after the side’s 4-17 to 0-14 Qualifier hammering at the hands of Galway on Saturday evening.
“The lads called into Teach Mhici last Sunday for a few beers and I asked them if they were happy with how things were going etc, and each to a man said that Rory is the man to lead this team, so I think if those lads are happy the rest of us should respect that because at the end of the day the players are the ones who know best.”
