GAELIC Life columnist Kevin Cassidy believes that Down could have a big say in the All-Ireland series, even if they fall to Tyrone in Sunday’s Ulster final.
Writing in today’s Gaelic Life, which includes a 20-page free Ulster Championship final supplement, Cassidy said that the gap between the top couple of sides and the rest opens the door for the Mourne county to make a charge.
“The one point I would like to make before the game is that no matter what happens this weekend, win or lose Down should keep their focus because from what I’ve seen so far this year from the other teams left in the competition, they could very well have some great joy when they get up to Croke Park against some of the so-called bigger teams.”
