In his column in this week’s Gaelic Life John Morrison explains ten attributes that players want in a manager.
They are the ten characteristics that he thinks the best managers share. They are attributes that get the best from players, because they put players first.
One of them is:
“They want a manager who is not afraid to be wrong.
“This manager doesn’t think they are always right.
“They are not cocky, or conceited, or an intimidating figure. Being unafraid to be wrong, they’re secure enough to back down graciously when proven wrong.
“To them it is more important to find out what is right than being right.
“Often they admit they’re wrong, or that they made a mistake, or that they don’t have all the answers.”
