In his column in this week’s Gaelic Life, John Morrison explains how best to run a team meeting.
“To help players buy in try these pieces of advice:
“Limit team meetings to a maximum of 25 to 50 minutes as they seem shorter to players, than those meetings that are 30 to 60 minutes long. Discuss no more than five topics in a meeting.
“Limit the amount of video shown in any meeting to just five minutes. As it forces coaches to be meaningfully selective in what they want to get across to players.
“Ask a lot of why questions, and ‘what happens next’, and ‘how can we improve upon this?'”
