In his column in this week’s Gaelic Life, John Morrison highlights seven ways that a coach can be creative when working with players.
He says the creative coach focuses on how to encourage the player to think about improvement.
“Successful, creative, well-respected coaches emphasise personal improvement, preparation and quality of play, in addition to favourable outcomes.
“They rarely talk about winning or victory. They expect players to do their best by focusing on preparation for extraordinary performance.”
He goes on to talk about disicipline, and explains what the eight Cs of cooperation are.
