GAELIC Life hurling columnist John Martin believes that the Slaughtneil hurlers should consider seeking a special invitation into January’s Conor McGurk Cup.
The Queen’s GAA run tournament brings together university and inter-county sides for a pre-season tournament.
“Would it be possible for Slaughtneil to enter the Conor McGurk Cup?” Martin asks.
“It would provide at least three games of reasonable quality close to home in the space of three weeks with the added bonus that there will be no arrivals back home at 2am on a Monday morning.”
