GAELIC Life hurling columnist John Martin has argued that there is no reason why Galway can’t be offered home advantage in the Leinster Senior Hurling Championship.

In his column this week, where he also addresses the roadblocks faced by the Galway underage teams, Martin has said that consistency is not on show.

“Antrim previously and Kerry this year have had home games in the Leinster Championship,” he said.

“Walsh Cup games have been played in Belfast, Leinster Minor League games have been played in Newry, so there’s no consistent, principled stance on the ‘no home games for our guests’ issue.”
