CUALA’S history-making All-Ireland final win against Ballyea is no guarantee that hurling is set for a significant boost in Dublin, according to Gaelic Life columnist John Martin.

Writing in today’s edition, Martin said that club success doesn’t always transfer to the inter-county scene, at least not straight away.

“Will it boost Dublin hurling? Probably no more than Loughgiel’s win boosted Antrim hurling in 2012, certainly not in the short term, but the win may attract a few more youngsters from Dublin’s southside rugby belt into their ranks.”
