GAELIC Life columnist Fionnuala Carr has said that the Down squad can’t be content to live off their derby win against Armagh last weekend.
Writing in today’s edition, Carr analyses where the Mourne county got it right at Pairc Esler, and also points out where they must improve if they are to continue on the right path.
“The task now is to push on, it was only one game that was won. Enjoy the feeling of the win but use that feeling to motivate you to earn it over and over again.
“The game against Monaghan or Cavan in just over two weeks will be completely different to the games against Cork or Armagh. Down will now face physically stronger teams who competed at a higher level than they did.”
