In this week’s Gaelic Life, John Morrison talks about the need for creating clear boundaries on a team.
He said that a common sense approach to success is needed to create any such boundaries.
He says that it is important to have a few rules, though some areas such as disrespecting staff and team mates must be dealt with quickly.
“Name calling, swearing, sarcasm, or any form of abuse should not be tolerated.
“As disrespect is the beginning of deterioration of the team, this rule should be talked through with the team extensively before the season starts.
“Beware of cliques forming and stop these as soon as they appear.”
Morrison also talks about other issues such as lateness, Curvew, alcohol, care of equipment and attendance.
