GAELIC Life columnist Ciaran McKeever has spoken about the time he was banned for eight weeks by Joe Kernan for playing with his club Cullyhanna.
Writing in this week’s edition, McKeever says that the punishment was fair, and also says that county players now need to become more selfish and ignore the calls to do more for their club at this time of the year.
“That night Joe rang me saying he’d heard I had played. He said “Ciaran, you’re not going to La Manga and I’ll chat to you when we come back.”
