GAELIC life columnist Cahal Carvill has dissected the belief that in order to survive in the GAA, you need to be big in stature.
Writing in this week’s addition, Carvill said that people need to escape the notion that smaller players can’t be as effective as their bigger counterparts.
“In the modern era of strength and conditioning, death-zone training sessions and an obsession with bigger equaling better, Gaelic football and hurling are in danger of making the small, skillful hurler or footballer redundant.”
