TWO Eire Ogs men and one Eoghan Ruadh hurler are up for our Tyrone hurling All-Star award. Here they are:
DERMOT BEGLEY (EIRE OG, CARRICKMORE)
What a leader Begley is for the Eire Og hurlers. Their captain fantastic gave a fantastic play from start-to-finish as they wrestled back the Benburb Cup from Eoghan Ruadh. A superb centre half-back, he helped to steady the ship when Eoghan Ruadh threatened a comeback in the second half.
SEAN OG GROGAN (EIRE OG, CARRICKMORE)
Sean Og had lost form, but he was back with a bang this year. Nearly destroyed Eoghan Ruadh in his own in the county final, scoring two goals and assisting in a third in a devastating purple patch for Eire Og’s. A brilliant forward with an eye for goal.
LORCAN DEVLIN (EOGHAN RUADH)
Eoghan Ruadh will be the first to admit that they didn’t give a great account of themselves in the final. However, Lorcan Devlin deserves credit for his form in what was a difficult season. He was particularly prominent in challenge matches in the lead up to the final.
