Glenfin beat Termon by 7-7 to 2-10 in the county final, in a thrilling finale to the championship. The two teams had played so well this year, but someone had to win. The nominations for the Ladies Football All-stars are as follows.
GERALDINE MCLAUGHLIN (TERMON)
McLaughlin remains one of the best players of her generation. She is natuarally talented and such a great competitor. She scored 1-6 in the final but that wasn’t enough.
KATY HERRON (GLENFIN)
Katy Herron pulled the strings at midfield for Glenfin, and in the final she led by example.
YVONNE BONNER (GLENFIN)
She is one of Ireland’s WAFL exports but she was able to return at the end of last year and deliver a county title. She scored five goals in the final.
