Here are the three players nominated for the Cavan club hurler All-Star award.
Oisin Carolan (Cootehill Celtic)
Cootehill may have lost the Senior Hurling Championship final in Cavan, but Oisin Carolan was one of the best players on display in their one-point defeat to Mullahoran with a towering performance in the middle third. He was superb in their semi-final victory over East Cavan Gaels as well.
Dominic Crudden (Mullahoran)
Mullahoran defender Dominic Crudden was rock-solid as they limited Pearse Og to only 1-7 in the semi-finals, and he was just as good in the final against Cootehill. Stood firm when their backs where against the wall with the result that they successfully defended their title by the minimum of margins. A top defender but always tidy and accomplished in possession.
Derrick Dalton (Mullahoran)
Every team is a reliable free-taker, and Dalton is exactly that. Hit five crucial points in a nerve-racking final victory over Cootehill, none more significant than his final free which ensured a one-point triumph for the Dreadnaughts. His accuracy in the semi-final was also really impressive.
