All-Star nominations: Clonduff and Ballygalget players shortlisted

DOWN club camogie is becoming very competitive but once again Clonduff came out on top with two nominees making the cut. A young Ballygalget side are starting to emerge, and they also have a player on the shortlist.

SARA-LOUISE GRAFFIN (CLONDUFF)
Graffin’s prowess is known across the country now following years of great service for her county, but she has been just as effective for the Yellas. That cumulated in another county title as Clonduff completed the four in-a-row. Graffin was excellent throughout the campaign and landed 2-2 in the county final win over Ballygalget.

PAULA O’HAGAN (CLONDUFF)
O’Hagan is a fine dead-ball striker and that enviable skill really came to the fore in the Down semi-final as the Hilltown side edged past Portaferry. O’Hagan chipped in with eight crucial points, including two late scores to help the side through. Followed that up with six points in the final, two of those coming from play.

TARA MONAN (BALLYGALGET)

There are some outstanding players emerging in the Ballygalaget club and Ulster Colleges All-Star Tara Monan is right up there. Despite her youth, she was fantastic as her club reached the county final. Found the net in the semi-final as Ballygalget finally pushed clear of Liatroim and can be delighted with her efforts all season.
