The Derry camogie final was a derby affair this year with parish neighbours Swatragh and Sleacht Néill facing off against each other. It was Sleacht Néill’s sixth victory in a row, and proved that this team is a strong as ever as they won 2-18 to 1-7.
AOIFE NÍ CHAISIDE (SLEACHT NÉILL)
Another year and another solid display from Aoife Ní Chaiside who remains so reliable in the Sleacht Néill team.
LOUISE DOUGAN (SLEACHT NÉILL)
Dougan scored 0-4 in the county final against Swatragh, but she does so much more than just score. She has been a regular in All-Star selections in recent years and this year was no different.
SHANNON KEARNEY (SWATRAGH)
Kearney played sweeper in the county final and did her best to cut out the relentless attacks from Sleacht Néill. A solid year for Kearney did not deliver the title she so dearly wanted though.
