Below are the nominees for the 2024 Ladies Football Manager of the Year sponsored by MyIrelandJobs.com. Find out more about this year’s shortlisted nominees below.
Greg McGonigle – Clann Éireann

Last year’s Gaelic Life Club All-Stars Ladies Manager of the Year Greg McGonigle is bidding to retain his title after another brilliantly successful season at the helm of Clann Éireann. They’re blessed with a talented crop of players but there’s always the danger of complacency and McGonigle ensured that they were right at the peak of the powers as they annexed another Ulster title in style.
Seanie Smith – Mullahoran

In 2018 Seanie Smith led the Mullahoran men’s team to an intermediate title in Cavan and all the way to an Ulster final appearance and he went one step better in his latest role managing the ladies team in the club. They embarked on a memorable journey to provincial final day and they got the job done with a superb performance against Carrickmacross, Seanie bringing together the side’s youth and experience to great effect.
Barney Curran and Dominic McCroddy – Downings

They may have fallen short on All-Ireland final day, but let that not take away from what was a dream season for all involved with Downings Ladies, including their joint-managers Barney Curran and Dominic McCroddy. In their debut season at the helm, they steered Downing to a historic Ulster Junior title triumph and their fingerprints could be found all over their success as they outwitted their opponents on repeated occasion.
Voting opens at 10am on Thursday 13th February and will close at 10am on Monday 17th February. Votes do not determine the final winners but help create awareness of the nominee’s shortlisting. The winner of this category will be announced at our Gala Awards Night at the Hillgrove Hotel, Monaghan on Friday 7th March 2025.
