Over the coming weeks, Gaelic Life will be publishing the shortlist for the Camogie, Ladies Football, Hurling and Football teams along with all the remaining category nominees. It’s over to you to get voting for your favourite nominees and then the judges will make their final decisions on the All-Star teams and category winners. The All-Star teams will be announced in advance of the Gala Awards Night with further details to follow.
IN the space of seven years, the Gaelic Life Ulster Club All-stars have grown at an astonishing rate – but the 2018 version is set to be the biggest of them all.
Last year over 400 people attended a black-tie gala event at the Hillgrove Hotel in Monaghan, and it’s back to the Oriel county to celebrate all that is good about clubs in Ulster on January 11.
We are proud to recognise all 4 codes with All-Star teams at our awards ceremony plus category awards including the Gaelic Life Hall of Fame accolade. RTE’s Darragh Maloney will also be back to MC on the night.
As the awards have grown in stature, so has the operation – and Gaelic Life are extremely grateful to all the sponsors who are supporting this year.
Gaelic Life are delighted once again partner with Armagh-based manufacturer and retailer theGAAstore.com will once again be the primary sponsors of the event, underlining not only their on-going support for the Club All-Stars process but for grassroots GAA in Ulster. Speaking on the announcement, theGAAstore’s managing director Padraic McKeever expressed his delight that they would once again be involved in the All-Star process and gala event.
He said: We have been unwavering in our support of the Ulster Clubs All-Stars and we are proud to be in a position as we launch our new McKeever brand to once again link with Gaelic Life to help deliver this year’s bumper event’. We are blessed to have such a strong GAA community here in Ulster, a sense of pride and passion which is unrivalled. Many of those clubs do business with us, they are the bedrock of our business, and we are more than happy to throw our weight behind them through our ongoing sponsorship of these awards. Each year this event just gets bigger and better, and we are extremely proud to continue to play our part in what has now become one of the biggest events in the GAA calendar.”
Other sponsors include: Murphy’s Gaelic Gloves, the Hillgrove Hotel, Sally’s of Omagh, The Crosshill Gallery, Premier Sports, First Trust Bank, SCL Sales Ltd, Kelly’s Inn Garvaghy, Irwin’s Bakery, Ulster GAA, Ulster Ladies GFC and the Ulster Camogie Association.
