Mullahoran win on ‘frees’ to set up St.Enda’s decider

The Antrim kingpins rattled off the last four scores of the game to seal a come from behind win to reach the Ulster Club IFC Final.

Substitute Mickey Morgan entered the fray to kick two match winning points in injury time to seal the victory.

St.Enda’s led 0-5 to 0-3 at the break before the Saffron men lost Ethan Gibson before the ‘Tatts’ hit a swift 1-2 with Joe Cartin rattling the net.

Morgan then entered the fray to kick the two winning scores to send his team to the decider.

Mullahoran (Cavan) 1-16 Banagher (Derry) 0-19, Mullahoran won 5-3 on frees 

After two periods of extra time the Derry and Cavan champions could not be separated prompting a free-taking competition to decide who would make the final.

Banagher lost Ciaran Lynch to a red card in the first half before Philip Brady netted to give Mullahoran 1-4 to 0-6 lead at the break.

Cian O’Reilly and Tiernan Moore led their team’s charges as the sides were deadlocked, Moore’s fifth bringing the game to extra time.

First two periods of ten minutes could not separate the sides before two further periods of five minutes sent the game to a free-taking competition with kicks taken from 33m, the edge of the ‘D’.

Enda O’Reilly, Fionnan O’Reilly and Gavin Brady scored for Mullahoran as Peter Hagan, Shane Farren and Mark Lynch converted for Banagher.

Niall Moore sliced wide while Philip Brady and Cormac O’Reilly sealed the win for the Breffni men.
