Clare’s pitch last year in the National League.

Toughest training session you’ve every been involved in?

Majority of the county sessions are tough, mainly due to the amount of running and sprints. Thanks Sarah.

What’s your preferred brand of gear?

Adidas, Nike and O’Neill’s.

Most inspirational individual you’ve ever met?

My father.

Where do you like to go out to celebrate?

Tailors and then onto Tiffys, manys a memorable night.

What do you like to do when you are not training/playing?

I love a good night out with friends, going for walks with the dog and supporting the local men’s team, Coalisland Fianna.

Which team mates (From any club/county) are the first you’d invite on a night out?

Emma Smyth – always guaranteed a good night.

Maria Canavan – great singer and only gets invited when your not going to Spy.
Niamh Hughes – provides the entertainment for the night.
Lycrecia Quinn- great craic when you can get her out.

Which team mate is the worst dancer?

Emma Mulgrew – her shoulder hasn’t recovered since.

Which team mate is the loudest in the changing room?

Oonagh McAleer – great value, will always make you laugh.

What’s the funniest thing you’ve seen happen in training/during a match?

Aoife McGahan missing an open net has happened on more than one occasion.

What’s the worst excuse you’ve heard to get out of training and who did it come from?

Meabh Mallon – had no lift to training and was posting pictures in the Hatfield.

Worst/best person to sit next to on the team bus?

Best – Niamh Hughes and Maria Canavan, always plenty of laughter.

Worst/best person to share a room with on away days?

Always share with Niamh Hughes.

Who has the best diet, and who has the worst, and what do they consist of? ?

Best – Neamh Woods, quite heathy.
Worst – Maria Canavan, big pizza fan who wouldn’t know what a vegetable looks like.

Toughest opponent you have played against?

Caroline O’Hanlon (Armagh).

Best or worst quote you have heard from a team mate/opponent/manager?

Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard.

Best manager you have played for?

I have been fortunate to have played under many great managers, would be hard to choose one.

What is the best thing about being part of the GAA?

Meeting new people and building great friendships.
