In fairness most of GAA grounds these days are in great condition. Pass.

Toughest training session you’ve every been involved in?

There have been a few… mainly Setanta sessions where Paul Campbell has no stopwatch!!

What’s your preferred brand of gear?

O’Neills clothing, Adidas boots, DC10 Sliotars and Cannon Hurleys.

Most inspirational individual you’ve ever met?

My late Grandad, George Coulter. A great gael and gentleman.

Where do you like to go out to celebrate?

Normally the Lantern in The Cross.

What do you like to do when you are not training/playing?

Spending time with my family, golf, sleeping.

Which character in any film/tv show are you most like?

Roy McAvoy – Tin Cup

Which team mates (From any club/county) are the first you’d invite on a night out?

Bernard Lafferty – Bombscare!

Which team mate is the worst dancer?

Danny Cullen, it’s a good job he only dances when Grainne makes him.

Which team mate is the loudest in the changing room?

Jamesie Donnelly, cannot make out a word he’s saying either!

What’s the funniest thing you’ve seen happen in training/during a match?

Charlie Vernon emptied a lad in a minor football game in Abbey Park and the ref booked him for a late tackle… Charlie replied “but I got there as quick as I could”

What’s the worst excuse you’ve heard to get out of training and who did it come from?

Justin McBride has slept in for a few 8pm training sessions!

Biggest Ego?

Tattoos, fresh fades and fake tan… Ciaran Matthewson!

Worst/best person to sit next to on the team bus?

Best – Davin Flynn or Niall Cleary always good to get a seat close to them lads for some life coaching!
Worst – Jamesie Donnelly always tapping you to look at tractors out the window.

Worst/best person to share a room with on away days?

Best – Always roomed with Connor Devlin in my Armagh days, never slept a wink in fear. Worst – Justin McBride (far too much energy!)

Who has the best diet, and who has the worst, and what do they consist of? ?

Best – Sean McVeigh or Danny Cullen. One is vegan, the other thinks he is!
Worst – Kevin Campbell (Hillbillies Family Bucket, 2 Quarter Pounders and a large chip)

Toughest opponent you have played against?

Gerald Barton (Cuchulainns, Armagh). Tackling grids were brutal!

Best or worst quote you have heard from a team mate/opponent/manager?

John Crossey specials “He couldn’t tackle a fish supper” “Galway are as far away as Japan from winning an All Ireland” “Big Paddy Beag – The Laundry Man” (for keeping clean sheets)

Best manager you have played for?

Ciaran Breen. Great hurling man and I have a lot of respect for him.

What frustrates you most about the GAA?

Lack of coverage for Christy Ring, Nicky Rackard and Lory Meagher competitions.

What is the best thing about being part of the GAA?

Hurling with mates and making life long memories.
