With the new season approaching, Steven Poacher reveals how he plans his season out.
He says that he has five phases during the sporting year, Pre-hab, pre-season, early season, mid season, and peak season.
At the moment, teams should be in Pre season.
He explains: “This is where your stamina and speed endurance base are entrenched. This phase is also an opportunity to build on the work done in the pre-hab phase. Sesions will genereally last 70 minutes or emore and don’t forget to inlcude plenty of the ball.”
He goes on to explain what should happen in early season, which is the next phase coming up.
