With the weather forcing a tighter schedule, McKeever uses today’s column to suggest a reduction in games.

“Do we need the semi-finals? Two groups, top two into a final; that eliminates a round of fixtures straight off the bat.

“True, you could face a few dead-rubbers in the third round of fixtures but I’ll go back to my earlier point, apart from Tyrone who really is dying to win the McKenna Cup?”
