Be careful not to push yourself too hard during your championship preparations

In the third part of his series on preparing for the Championship, Pauric Grimes explains the process that players should go through in order to be in peak condition when the first game throws in.

He said that your physical condition might be good, but the mental side of your training must be right as well.

“Peaking may be more psychological than physical.

“So how should this be accounted for in your training?

“First you should avoid pushing yourself too hard in your training, particularly as the championship draws closer.

“After all you are already fit.

“You don’t need to push the envelope with your trainnig and risk burnout to transform your body as it is already prepared.”
