In his column in this week’s Gaelic Life, Steven Poacher says that tonight’s League clash of Tyrone and Dublin promises to be anexciting one because of the style of football the two teams play.

He says their talent for ball carrying, and attacking, makes for a mouth-watering prospect at Croke Park.

“When you watch the highlights back and see James McCarthy striding forward from the back and comfortably stroking over a point that Bernard Brogan would be proud of, you can see that they obviously spend a lot of time in training working on the technical elements of the game. Players clearly must get the opportunity for mulitple ball contact during sessions.

“The same can also be said of Tyrone. Their players all look assured and composed on the ball which really makes this Saturday evening’s clash with Dublin a very exciting prospect.”
