Steven Poacher – No coaching plan? No hope

Steven Poacher emphasised the importance of knowing what skills you want to teach during a session

In his most recent Gaelic Life Column, Steven Poacher emphasises the importance of planning your training sessions.

He highlights four key areas to think  about when organising a session for a group.

They are: Timing of the session, Age of the group, focus of the session, and external elements or outside factors.

He says: “Before anything else effective planning and preparation is the key to success.

“Failure to plan a sessions is literally planning to fail. If you go into a session blind with nothing planned there is a very strong chance that that session will not go well.”

He goes into further details about the four elements of the plan in his column which you can read now in the current issue of Gaelic Life.
