Kevin Cassidy: A vicious merry-go-round

SPOTLIGHT…The duel between club and county continues

GAELIC Life columnist Kevin Cassidy has said that the fixture issue in the GAA is just on a vicious merry-go-round that will never come to a standstill.

Referencing an article he penned in 2014, the Donegal man said that the problem continues to be ignored three years later.

“We are at a critical point within the GAA at the minute, we have a real issue around our calendar with the county scene strangling the life out of club football so it’s time for the powers to be to step up to the plate and do their job before it’s too late.”

The full column is in today’s Gaelic Life, in shops now or available here.

Kevin Cassidy believes that Donegal can still come through their ‘Super 8’ group despite the loss of Paddy McBrearty.

GAELIC Life columnist Kevin Cassidy fully expects Donegal to end Fermanagh’s quest for a first Ulster title on Sunday.

Kevin Cassidy says that Diarmuid Connolly should be looked after.
