Kevin Cassidy: Patience the key word for Donegal

TIME TO BUILD…Kevin Cassidy has said that Declan Bonner should be given space to develop a new Donegal side

GAELIC Life columnist Kevin Cassidy has said that Donegal fans must show a degree of patience as the Tir Chonaill men get set to start their Division One campaign in Kerry on Sunday.

Writing in today’s edition, Cassiday said that new manager Declan Bonner, and the players he has drafted in, must be given time to find their feet – even if the results aren;t going to plan early on.

“I believe Declan was given the job on the basis that he has an in-depth knowledge of the young players at our disposal having worked with them at both minor and u-21 level, so he will and should be afforded time to shape his squad into one which he will hope will be fit to challenge for major honours.”
