In this week’s Gaelic Life, Martin O’Brien believes that perhaps it’s now time for the country’s elite to take a stand in order to address the fixture crisis.
The columnist argues that if the top players shunned events like the International Rules series, then the problem would be addressed properly.
“There is a chance for the top level of players to make a stand against this happening again. No one wants to see strike action in the GAA but maybe the time to make a stand is now and maybe the International Rules and extra-curricular activities like it are a place to start.”
