Kevin Cassidy: Bundoran the latest victim of club chaos

RAINED OFF…Players don’t enjoy league football at this time of the year

GAELIC Life columnist Kevin Cassidy has once again called on the GAA to address the club fixtures issue – especially with the new Super 8s on the horizon.

Writing in today’s edition, the Donegal man said that relegated Bundoran were the latest victims of the mess as Milford were able to save themselves against a Gweedore team that had no motivation.

“Milford beat us by about 10 points and as I stood in the full-forward line watching proceedings unfold out the field I began to play things over in my mind.

“No disrespect to Milford, but had that game meant anything to us or had it been played at any other time of the year we would have easily overcome them, so the fact that it was played at that time of year ultimately decided the fate of another team – in this case Bundoran.”
