GAELIC Life columnist Kevin Cassidy has said that the emphatic nature of Tyrone’s win over Donegal demonstrates that the young Tir Chonaill charges are not yet fully ready for the championship arena.
Writing in today’s edition, Cassidy said that with an Ulster title now out of reach, Rory Gallagher’s side have very little to play for.
“I’m not entirely sure what approach Rory Gallagher can take when he meets his squad to pick up the pieces this week.
“Deep down the squad will know that an Ulster title was probably the best they could have hoped for this year as they were never going to win the All-Ireland so now that the chance of winning the Angle Celt is gone how do you keep your team focused when deep down they know they are on borrowed time?”
