The two counties have developed an intense rivalry in recent years and the Gaoth Dobhair is expecting more of the same.

“Over the last number of years these teams have grown to hate each other,” he said.

“Ever since Donegal have started to turn up the heat on their Ulster rivals, there has been a constant niggle any time these two tribes meet.”
