Fantasy Advice – The most important full-forwards

Monaghan's Conor McManus

Monaghan’s Conor McManus

The full forward line was the most important line in last year’s NFL Fantasy competition.

Pick the right three forwards and you can cover up for deificiencies in a lot of your other lines.

Last year, Conor McManus, Tomas McCann and Ronan O’Neill were the three top-scoring players in the competition.

And there is a good argument that those three could top score again.

Monghan’s Conor McManus has proven that he can deliver in division one. Tyrone’s Ronan O’Neill has not done so though, so he’s a riskier play.

Tomas McCann has played in division three before, and should be able to put up respectable numbers.

But who else should be in the frame?

Armagh’s Stefan Campbell is an obvious choice, as he should do damage in division three.

Oisin MacIomhair could be a dark horse for the Orchard county. Jamie Clarke will be a popular choice because of his talent, but as he didn’t play last year, there are questions about how much game time he will get.

Seanie Johnston will put  up a respectable return, but he’s in division one and it won’t be easy.

Derry forwards are still vulnerable against defensive teams, so it is best to avoid their full forwards.

The two obvious choices are Patrick McBrearty and Michael Murphy. They are reliable fantasy scorers and one or both nearly have to be included.

For Tyrone, Consider Darren McCurry and Cathal McShane. McCurry has spoke about how he is really focused on delivering this season, while McShane impressed in last year’s championship.
