Fantasy advice – points to remember

generic-fantasyfootball

So you’ve picked your six favourite players from your county, but you’re not sure of who to choose from the other eight counties?

You could select players because you like their name, or perhaps because you met them in the Bot one night, but those are risky strategies for a Fantasy Manager who is trying to win his mini-league.

And let’s face it, if you can’t win your work mini league then what is the point of going to work?

Best to do a bit of research when selecting your players.

For example, do you know who the free-takers are in each county? Find out here

Or, do you remember which players were most successful in last year’s league? Find out here

What about last year’s winning NFL team?

As Donald Trump never said: Knowledge is Power.

Here are some other pointers to think of before you make some picks.

  • Dessie Mone is injured for Monaghan and is out for the first four games of the National League at least.
  • Derry side Slaughtneil are in the All-Ireland club series, so that means that Derry players like Chrissy and Karl McKaigue won’t feature until after St Patrick’s day.
  • Tyrone, Monaghan, Donegal and Cavan are playing in Division one, the most difficult division to pick up fantasy points
  • Armagh and Antrim are playing in division three, an easier place to pick up points.
