GAELIC Life hurling columnist John Martin believes that a motion passed in Connacht could have serious ramifications for the future of hurling.

Writing in this week’s edition, Martin addresses a motion passed at the Galway county convention earlier this week.

“The vote saw all 253 delegates at the Galway convention vote in favour of their senior, u-21, minor and intermediate teams competing in a single provincial hurling structure.

“It moves beyond Galway asking politely every few years if their minors could possibly, if it’s not putting anybody out, be included in the Leinster provincial competitions.”
