WALKING’S FINE…But running wasn’t Kevin Cassidy’s favourite drill

KEVIN Cassidy has given an entertaining insight into how running impacted on his Donegal and Gaoth Dobhair career.

In this week’s edition, the Gaelic Life columnist speaks of the running policies of various managers, and how they all forced him to breaking point.

“When we got our first text message to meet up for our first training session of the year, I should have known things weren’t going to go well for me for that pre season. The text read “Donegal senior team training at 6.30pm in the Finn Valley running track, no boots required.”

“Only for I was a poor student at the time I would have bounced the mobile phone off the wall.”
