Teams played for:

Tullysaran, Armagh Camogie

If you were throwing a party and you could invite anyone in the world, dead or alive, who would you ask around?

I would invite around the entire Armagh Camogie team, we have been to some amount of restaurants and pubs this year and have had great craic every time. The girls also have taught me some amount of tunes, which has resulted in me breaking out into song at inappropriate times. I would also have to invite Conor McGregor, Ryan Gosling and a few of the husbands and boyfriends to keep the girls in craic.

Where do you like to go out to celebrate after a big victory?

I’m not a big one for heading out after a match, personally I like heading out in Belfast to the old haunts.

If you weren’t playing GAA what would you be at?

Playing golf and some more golf.

What’s the worst pitch you’ve ever played on?

Athleague in Roscommon that lies on the Galway border. When we have away matches in Roscommon they always seems to be there. It’s an awful drive, awful pitch and it’s always cold.

Which character in any film are you most like?

Happy Gilmore. I love taking divots out of the ground and shouting abuse at the ball (on the camogie pitch as well as the golf course).

Any odd items in your kit bag?

You will always find a packet of make-up sponges in my bag, they are the best cure for blisters, compeeds don’t have a look in.

What’s your preferred brand of gear?

Murphy’s Gloves, I love wearing a left glove when playing camogie and they are nice and snug. Adidas boots. Fulfil Protein Bars.

Who’s the biggest joker in the teams you play for?

Clare McKinley always has plenty of craic, Joanne Mallon and Colleen O’Hare always have plenty of laughs too, but Bernie Murray’s stories keep the whole bus going. She had a story to tell us that was so in depth it lasted the whole way from Armagh to Limerick.

Which team mate has the best looking other half?

Oh dear I don’t think I have ever commented on this before, but I do believe Ciara Donnelly and Bernie Murray are having some sort of competition with regards to this!!!

Who is the worst trainer?

I will nominate myself for this one, I hate the rain and will always moan if I have to go out in it.

Who spends most time in front of the mirror in the dressing room?

The whole Armagh team, we are fond of spray tans, contour kits, back combing and eyebrow pencils! I think we have a bad rep amongst some of the other counties particularly Westmeath.

Who’s the best/worst person to share a room with on away trips?

Joanne Mallon is the best as she lets me watch the golf if it’s on the tv. I haven’t had a bad experience with a roommate, yet!

Who’s the best/worst person to sit beside on the team bus?

Clare McKinley is the best, she always bring nice snacks. The young ones are the worst at they sing for the whole journey there and back again. (Caella Casey, Leah McGoldrick and Co.)

Who has the best and who has the worst diet on the team, and what does it include?

We are all pretty good eaters, Aoife, Bebe and the county board make sure we eat right after training.

Toughest opponent you have faced?

Anne McGuigan is pretty tough and of course Bronagh Keenan in goals always gives me a run for my money.

Best or worst quote you’ve heard, either from a manager, player, opponent?

Best Quote – “Get the white thing and then do something positive”

Best manager you’ve ever played under?

Kizzie Hughes, he led our Tullysaran team to be the first team in Armagh to break the prolonged Keady/Ballymacnab Senior Championship streak.

Best ever performance?

2005 Ulster Final

One to forget?

2016 All Ireland Final

When you were playing in the back garden, who did you pretend to be?

As a child Mary Black or Aileen McGahan – they played for Armagh and Tullysaran respectively when I was growing up.

If there was a transfer market who’d be in and who’d be out of the team?

I would bring in Katie Power and Julie Anne Malone from Kilkenny they were amazing in the All-Ireland Final.

Rachael Merry is a big fan of Adidas, fake tan, and crisps
