GAELIC Life columnist Brian McGuigan believes that teams like Slaughtneil and Kilcoo have the opportunity to dominate their counties for the foreseeable future.
In today’s edition, the former Tyrone attacker said that they are creating something that is very hard to break down.
“Like Crossmaglen they have built an aurora in their own county, Kilcoo have won five in a row and Slaughtneil now have three in a row. Every win just builds up this invincibility and makes it harder for the opposition.”
McGuigan was speaking after watching Slaughtneil easily see off the challenge of Killyclogher in Sunday’s Ulster Club semi-final.
“Once again it hit me just how hard they’re willing to fight for each other,” he said.
“I knew all about that after a visit to the Elk nightclub back in ’99 when a few Ardboe lads really got a taste of the fighting spirit of Slaughtneil, but we’ll not get into that.”

Tyrone may have won 15 Ulster titles in their history, but they celebrated yesterday's like it was the first.
