Pauric Grimes says that your weekly diet doesn’t have to be boring.

In his new column he explains how he prepares his own diet, and why it is important to think about the week as a whole rather than day to day, or meal to meal.

He also says that it is okay to have a treat from time to time.

“The main thing is whatever you do is sustainable, day in and day out.

“Unless you’re training for the stage then there’ll always be room for a pint at the weekend and dessert back home on a Sunday.

“Your attitude to poor food choices will determine how much leeway you have to give yourself during the rest of the week.”
