The Ulster Champions are worth of the majority of your fantasy picks this season.

Monaghan have a well balanced team, they are solid in defence and they have a number of excellent scoring threats.

Division one is a challenge, but Malachy O’Rourke’s Oriel team should be able to handle themselves.

Here are four players that should be on your team, though there are more that you could consider.

Rory Beggan (goalkeeper): The majority of Fantasy managers will have Rory Beggan on their team straight away. He kicks the frees, and he’s a safe pair of hands behind a solid full back line. He’ll break 100 points in this year’s Fantasy competition.

Darren Hughes (Midfield): This is a bit of a gamble, as Hughes could be deployed anywhere on the field. But he’ll be a regular starter, and he will kick points. Last year he was sent off a couple of times, and that affected his value. Still he’s worth a place.

Conor McManus (Full forward): He’s in the top five forwards in Ulster, never mind Ireland. He has to be in your team.

Fintan Kelly (half back): Last year he was Monaghan’s star fantasy defender for both the League and the championship. The reason being, he kept clean sheets and kicked points. It’s worth picking the half back again this season.
